Petaling Jaya — March 2025
"My father's Seiko 5 had not run properly since 2016. I had taken it to two other places — one lost a part, one returned it in worse condition than I sent it. Ahmad Hafiz opened it, explained clearly what had gone wrong, and sent me photographs along the way. Two weeks later it came back running to within two seconds a day. I have already sent him my own daily watch."

"I was nervous to bring my late grandmother's Omega in because I had heard how easily dials are damaged. The workshop took time to explain exactly what they would and would not do before I left it there. The dial was cleaned with a small brush, not refinished. It looks as it should — old, but cared for. Worth every ringgit."

Cheras — January 2025
"The standard service on my Tissot PR516 was thorough. The written record was a nice touch — I had never received anything like it from a watch repairer before. The only small thing was a slightly longer wait than initially estimated, though Suraya did write to explain why and kept me updated. I will return."

"I collect vintage Japanese automatics and Tukang Warisan is the only workshop in KL I trust with them. The knowledge here is the real thing. They identified a worn cannon pinion on a calibre that most places have never seen, sourced a period replacement, and documented the whole process. The watch now keeps better time than it did when I bought it."

Shah Alam — February 2025
"Sent my husband's dress watch by courier from Shah Alam after reading about the workshop online. The packing guide they sent was clear and sensible. The piece arrived safely, the service was completed in the promised time, and the return delivery was organised by the workshop at a fair cost. Everything handled properly."

Mont Kiara — April 2025
"The maintenance visit for my daily Longines was exactly what I wanted — a tidy-up and timing check without unnecessary work added. Ahmad recommended the standard service for a second piece that genuinely needed it and was honest that the first watch did not. That kind of straightforwardness is rare and it earns trust."
Case Studies from the Bench
A 1962 Rolex Precision Ref. 1225 — Returned to Service
The Situation
The piece had not run since the mid-1990s. The client had inherited it from an uncle and was uncertain whether restoration was sensible. The movement was found with dried lubricant throughout and a broken mainspring.
The Approach
A replacement mainspring was sourced from a period-compatible supplier. The dial was cleaned by hand. The case was worked by stone only to remove surface grime — no machine polishing. Photographs documented each stage before reassembly.
The Outcome
Keeping time at +4 seconds per day across five positions. Character of the dial preserved. Client has worn it daily since collection — eight months without issue at last contact.
"I genuinely did not know whether to restore it or keep it as a keepsake. The workshop helped me think through both options without pushing either. The decision felt like mine."— K.H.T., Petaling Jaya
A Seiko 6139 Chronograph — Intermittent Stopping Resolved
The Situation
The owner reported the watch stopping unpredictably — sometimes after a few hours, sometimes after a day. Battery had been replaced twice elsewhere without improvement.
The Approach
Full dismantling revealed a worn click spring and a jewel with a hairline crack visible only under magnification. Both were replaced with compatible parts. Movement cleaned, lubricated, and regulated to four positions.
The Outcome
Collecting at +6 seconds per day, consistent. Stopping behaviour has not recurred. The itemised invoice showed every replaced component and its grade.
A Contemporary Citizen Eco-Drive — Routine Upkeep
The Situation
The watch was running correctly but had not been serviced for five years. The owner had noticed a slight haze on the crystal and wanted a general check before an overseas trip.
The Approach
Maintenance visit completed: gasket replaced, crystal polished, timing checked at three positions. The written summary noted that a standard service would be advisable within the next eighteen months given the service interval for the calibre.
The Outcome
Watch collected in three days, crystal clear. Client returned eight months later — as suggested — for the standard service and brought a second piece at the same time.
